A quick, fresh and light curry that’s great for a mid-week spice hit. Jalfrezi is characterised by it’s spicy tomato base together with green and red capsicums making a curry that looks like a gourmet work of art and ticks the boxes on taste too.

Cinnamon Road’s Jalfrezi includes 13 spices with 2 pre-mixed sachets of ground spices together with a sachet of methi leaves and 2 whole Kashmiri red chilli peppers. Kashmiri chillies are the main spice bringing a smooth hotness which melds perfectly with the fenugreek (methi) leaves, turmeric, cumin, coriander and our prefered garam masala mix.

Whether you’re following the quick and easy recipe for Chicken Jalfrezi or choosing for the vegetarian option, you bring the butter, onion, garlic, green and red capsicum, tin of diced tomatoes, tomato paste and stock. If you’re making the veggie curry then we recommend Quorn as the plant-based substitute and you can also throw in a red onion and a large fresh tomato.
